This is a self-fulfilling expectation, just as rising prices during the boom were a self-fulfilling expectation.  The same mechanism that drove prices up(mass psychology) will now drive them down.  No one wants to catch a falling knife.

I would not bet on a buyer&#039;s storm this fall (or the next).</description>

		<description>I respectably disagree. It&#039;s already mid September, and the numbers that I&#039;ve been crunching and observing says the contrary. I cannot see how buyers will suddenly materialize when more and more people are nervous about the economy and war.

I believe that the number of available houses will do down in the next few months more from people withdrawing than from sales.</description>

I do stand by my advice that if you have a transaction in progress, check with your LO to make sure you&#039;re locked.  Do not assume you are.  A good faith estimate is not a lock confirmation.</description>
