Portland Real Estate Blogger Meetup
Long overdue, the burgeoning Portland (and Vancouver, WA) real estate (RE) blogging community will have an opportunity to meet face-to-face, trade war stories, share best practices, and…tip a few back.
The venerable Joel Burslem, of Future of Real Estate Marketing fame (and Social Media Manager for Inman News) kicked off the meetup announcement yesterday. Already a dozen have committed, and rumors are that some of our Seattle blogging brethren may attend, too.
Date: Friday March 28, 2008
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: TBD (likely a PDX pub of some sort)
When re:PDX kicked off in October 2005, Portland had but 3 real estate bloggers. Now, my feedreader contains nearly 60 (here’s a partial list).
For those in mortgage origination, title and escrow, and real estate sales, you might take the opportunity to pick the brains of some of Portland’s pioneering RE bloggers if you have an interest in this type of social media.
Sign up here. Hope to see you there!

re:PDX is presented by Claire Widmark, broker affiliated with M Realty LLC in Portland, Oregon.

I still want to know if you’re picking up the tab, but…
You linked Zillow. Is David coming down??
Jeff,
Don’t you know that the market is in a tailspin and REALTORS are suffering? How can I be expected to subsidize the liquor consumption of other despondent real estate professionals?
Can’t confirm the appearance of *illow or *edfin representatives, but rumors are afoot.
I look forward to seeing you there.
A meetup sounds like an excellent idea. If possible, please post an update to this post after the event takes place later this month. This is definitely something that other metro areas could benefit from.
